3D Solid Modelling

ibmv is committed to 3D solid modelling. 2D construction drawings are produced directly from the 3D CAD model. 3D solid models from ibmv include the following:

• All components modelled as solid bodies
  
  
• Articulation of parts and the mechanical function of the assembly is checked
  
  
• Check for multiple components occupying the same volume
  
  
• Automatic calculation of the materials used, centre of mass, moments of inertia, etc.
  
  
• Surface and edge preparation for welding
